Prayer for the Month

EVENING PRAYER
Infinite Presence of goodness, I end this day with gratitude and a song on my heart. It sings ‘O Lord my God, How Great Thou Art”! This day has been filled with countless ways that I have witnessed Your greatness and love for me, and I am so thankful for another day of living, another day of loving and another day to remember how beautiful life is. Your infinite presence of goodness has walked with me through this day, held me up when I needed strength, energized my heart with joy and laughter and reminded me how precious and sacred life is at every turn. I know as I head to sleep, that even when I did not remember or feel you, that you were right beside me, guiding me from within. You have filled me to overflowing even when I was “asleep” to your blessings and I am thankful.
As I prepare to end this day, may I go to sleep with only thoughts of gratitude and peace. I rest in the calm assurance that I am blessed by Your love and protection, always. I extend my love to my family and friends and see their goodness even when they can’t see it for themselves; even when it is difficult. I offer that same love to those who have caused me any pain as I seek to understand and forgive.
When I wake tomorrow morning I will be refreshed and replenished as I celebrate with enthusiasm, another day to grow, to learn, to try again and to fully express my Divine nature. I affirm that tomorrow morning I will have all the passion, energy and wisdom I need to do what needs to be done by me!
May the world end this day with a greater sense of unity and a greater capacity for loving and may I continue to be an instrument of peace to all those who cross my path. May all beings know love, may all beings know peace and may all beings be safe in your protection and light. This I pray in the name of all that is good, sacred and beautiful.
