Prayer for the Month

August - 2008

Right here and right now, in the midst of my every life situation I feel, sense and know at the core of who I am, a power beyond measure. As I survey the landscape of my life, I behold it all as the workings of a Spirit of grace and power that I know has It’s home within the depths of my soul. This magnificent Spirit is as ancient as time itself yet it is as fresh as each ray of sunlight that greets me each morning. As I meet each new day, I take the time to feel this mighty power of creation stirring at my center, coursing through my veins, whispering my name and urging me into decisions, actions and ideas that inspire me to live consciously from the place of perfection for which I was created. I am thankful for this inward connection and call, and I respond with a courage and conviction that is unsurpassed in my history, for every moment I become more and more awake to myself as one with my source. Through inner realization of truth I connect with this spirit at the level of heart and mind and it reminds me that I can never be separate from the infinite well spring of goodness that created me, sustains me and rejuvenates me.

Through a holy partnership of Divine source, individual spirit and human experience I am joined in a great dance of life that shines as a testimony to what is true, good, sacred and beautiful. In this place of co-creation I behold every person and every place as equal participants in this dance and know them as the precious gift of infinite wisdom, love and compassion that they are. Each moment holds a blessing for me as I continually play my part and take the steps that allow me to gracefully move through my earthly path with ease, dignity and comfort. For this I am so grateful. For this I have taken human birth. For this I live and have my being and for this shall I live and love.

May the example I offer be one that inspires, uplifts and nurtures that same connection in all and may the world be a brighter place because I have made the choice to live as a light, no matter the circumstances. May the light that I am, touch and transform any darkness and may my life truly serve as a testimony to what is good, what is powerful and what is true. For this and so much more, I say thank you God.

And so it is.
